Editorial illustration

Illustration to accompany an essay by Princeton University President, Christopher Eisgruber, about the a committee that reviews tenure cases. I was struck by the part where he writes that the committee solicits letters from outside academics in addition to requiring that the committee members read all the submitted work in a file, including full-length books and manuscripts as well as highly technical papers, even if the work is far from a committee member’s area of expertise. I wanted to make the illustration be very specifically Princeton, but inject a little whimsy and magic into this highly selective process.
