Princeton University School of Engineering and Applied Science Centennial

The School of Engineering and Applied Science celebrated their one hundred year anniversary in 2020-21 and wanted branding to announce the special plans they had for that year to reconnect with alumni, reach prospective students, and engage both the public and University community of the school’s mission of service to society and its culture of cutting edge research of the past, present, and future.

The mark.

The mark needed to look related to the mark that the school was already using (created in 2009 by Pentagram) but look distinct from the current university-wide annual giving campaign that had been launched. It needed to be social media-friendly, be flexible enough the incorporate major messaging themes of mentorship, world-class research, and service to humanity. Out of the two marks I presented, this one was chosen.

A version for the twice-yearly magazine.
