My Process Case Study:
Finnish Coding School.
In this personal project, I imagine the government of Finland is hearing from businesses, who are experiencing a dire shortage of coders who can help grow the local tech innovation needs, especially if Finland is to compete in a global market.
I wrote, illustrated, and animated the script for the following project.
First, we’ll meet to discuss the specifics of the initiative and the solutions being proposed. We’ll collaborate on a creative brief and I’ll draw on the insights you’ve given me to write a succinct script. I’ll make a rough storyboard and make an animatic so that we can hone the story.
A thumbnail storyboard is one of the first steps in plotting a compelling story.
The animatic puts the images and script together. The drawings are deliberately rough, to accomodate the iterative nature your process.
When we agree on the final script and animatic, I’ll work on style frames and record professional voiceover.
